I see a lot of things at work, being a hairdresser there are just some fascinating things you can see that meeting someone on the street you never would have noticed.
Over the past few days I’ve seen two interesting cartilage piercings. The first one is closed up and healed. Pierced with a gun it looks like a chunk was taking out of the poor guys ear. Indented not just slightly as though you could tell where a small hole used to be, no. No instead there is a rather large (1/4 of an inch almost) indent in the back of this guys ear where I honestly though someone had ripped his ear. No. Just pierced with a gun, got infected, never healed right so he retired the piercing.
The next was more shocking. While going around a guys ear with the clippers I noticed what looked like a blowout on the back of his cartilage piercing. I asked what happened and he told me it happened when it was pierced. Upon finding out it was also done with a gun after he told me he wished he’d got it done with a needle I understood. The way that evil gun just forces that blunt earring into those poor ears, yeah, it caused the blowout. It’s huge and short of having it surgically removed there isn’t anything the guy can do about it. He’s chosen to just keep the piercing. Only someone who saw that back of his ear would notice, so I suppose to most people it’ll look just fine. It made me cringe pretty bad though…
Just two more reasons to stay the heck away from piercing guns.
